Technology can play a major role in supporting disabled people. However, if people are unaware of what technology exists and how it can help people, then a number of scenarios can happen, such as people missing out on a better quality of life or inappropriate technology being purchased, resulting in frustration as well as wasted time and money.
Our Awareness Training Days act as both Continued Professional Development for those employed in the care, education and health sectors and as a valuable source of information and support to those belonging to disability organisations.
It is questions such as these that prompted the inception of our Awareness Training days.
We deliver the training days to disability groups and small charitable organisations for free and at a charge for larger organisations. They are designed to inform people as to what assistive technology is, what it can do and who can use it. People can then make better informed decisions on implementing technology for either an individual or organisation.
